Withdrawal symptoms
Fountains at KLCC. |
Scrambling around - trying to fit in and do as much as possible while i'm home. Hence the "withdrawal symptom" from the familiarity and comfort of home.
I am half upset and half excited. But then i remind myself of this wise words,
"If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present." (Lao Tze)
So with that said, let us all embrace and live in the moment.

Crossing the list
And that's a wrap! I finally crossed out the final assignment, which means my summer vacation has started!
Alhamdulillah, that means I am pretty much done with my 2nd Year in uni. Time sure zoomed by super fast.
Now time to catch up on sleep and then start planning for summer plans!
May is going to be great - i can feel it.

That was fast
Wow.January went by super fast. It's scary, but at the same time I felt, relieved that it went by quickly. Why? Because I'm already homesick. It's been...5 months, but i'm itching to go home.
No kidding, being away from home teaches you a LOT. And one thing for sure is it teaches you to be independent. Not that i'm saying i wasn't independent before (haha, no i'm not being self-pretentious) but here it's different. Sure, you have friends and everything but there's nothing like family. I really miss being around people i love. It's been a great experience so far, but I wish I could have people I love with me so I can share my experience with them, you know what they say, it's better when shared.
Yes, i'm really homesick. It's great and all here, but there's no where like home.
In the mean time, things to look forward to:
- Parents coming in 14 days
- So many London sights (yet) to be visited

Like a dream
Happy New Year ! A few days late but i think it's still not too late for the wish yea?
I spend my new year's eve with a great bunch of friends, and welcomed 2013 with a BANG watching the amazing fireworks by the Mayor of London. I can't think of a better way to end/start a year than that. Pictures of fireworks below,
The pictures does not do it justice, i'll come round and post a video to show how the fireworks was dreamy and fantasy like. May this year be filled with joy, lots of laughter and blessings for all of us.

Stating the obvious, just because..
What to do when it's winter?
*this picture was taken using my phone, of food i have been eating, i really do spend a lot of time thinking of food btw and mostly missing Malaysian food*
So year 2, semester 1 of Uni is done with. Except for a few assignments due in January, i am now on
Christmas break! Happiness yes?
Not really. It's realllyyy cold and it's not fun to be outside meaning I spend most days indoors then exploring London. But i'll wrap up and brave the weather soon because i can't just hibernate the whole of winter, thats crazzzyyy.
Bila lagi nak experience the atmosphere of "christmas" in London kan?
but for now i'm just going to hibernate for a few days and think of food, then i'll brave the cold weather. I plan to blog about the places I go, we shall see how disciplined i am. I think i will though, update with pictures/info on the places i go visit, because :
1) its like a journal kind of thing
2) i have this hope that it will be of help to someone/anyone because i've gotten so much info from so many other blogs so i thought i would start :)
*goes back into blanket and hibernate for a while*

Fuss free dinner
When you're a student, you tend to have a few constraints when it comes to food and meals.
1) Budget
2) Time
3) Amount of effort we're willing to put in.
So when i take a break from work i search for easy cheap meals to make. And i came across this student tips website that gives recipes for students, that of course works well for students budgets.
I bought leek the other day from the supermarket because i felt like trying it. And then i found a recipe for baked leek from the student tips website, I literally ran to the kitchen to make it because the picture looked really good. How did mine turn out?
